How to read the radar.
Every coin launched on pump.fun lands here the moment it happens. This guide explains each part of the site, what the numbers mean, and a simple routine for using them before you trade.
The radar
Every dot is a coin launched in the last hour. Together they show where new money is going right now.
- The rim: new coins. A coin appears at the edge when it launches, with an empty bonding curve.
- The rings: how full the curve is. Coins move inward as people buy. The rings mark 25%, 50% and 75% filled.
- The centre: graduated. Gold dots filled their curve and moved to the DEX in the last few hours.
- The slices: narratives. Each slice is a theme. The more coins a theme launched this hour, the bigger its slice.
- Name tags. The newest graduations and the coins closest to graduating get a tag. Bigger dots have bigger market caps.
- Point or tap to lock on. Brackets close in on the coin and its card opens with the read. Click to pin the card: it has the pump.fun link and a button that copies the contract address.
Use it to see at a glance which narratives are busy and which coins are climbing. A slice full of dots stuck at the rim is a theme many people launch and few buy.
The bar under the radar counts the coins on screen ("contacts") and the graduations, shows the sweep's bearing, and names the coin being tracked.
Market temperature
A meter on the home page that says whether pump.fun is hot, warm or cold right now, with the four readings behind it.
- Bonding-curve volume: how much was traded on pump.fun's bonding curves in the last full day, against the median day of the month before. This is the purest read on the trenches.
- Coins bonding: how many coins filled their curve and moved to the DEX in the last 24 hours, against the radar's normal pace.
- PumpSwap volume: trading on pump.fun's DEX, where coins go after they bond.
- Launches: new coins created, against the normal pace. Launches count for the least, because bots launch coins whatever the market is doing.
How the score works. Each reading is compared with its normal level: normal scores 50, double scores 100 and half scores 0. The meter is a weighted average, with volume on the curves and coins bonding counting most. 65 and up reads Hot, 40 to 65 Warm, and below 40 Cold.
Use it to set your expectations. In a hot market more coins bond and runs go further, but competition is fierce. In a cold one even good setups struggle to fill their curve, so size down or wait.
Where it comes from. Daily volume comes from DefiLlama, updated every 30 minutes; the last full day is shown because the current day isn't finished. Bonding and launches come from the radar itself. Until the radar has a day of history, it compares the last few hours with its average so far.
The read on a coin
Point at any coin on the radar, or tap it on a phone, and its card shows what the data says about it: the strengths, the red flags, and a label that weighs them up.
- Part of a copycat wave: 9 creators launched $ORBITCAT within an hour, and the best is 91% filled. This is the first one.
- “orbit” is in 6× more coin names than usual this hour, from 7 creators.
- The Cats theme is flooded: 427 launched today and 0.7% graduated, against 1.2% on average.
- 64% of its curve filled in 18m.
Strong signals More strengths than cautions, and at least two of them.
Mixed signals Some of each. Read the lines.
Caution More red flags than strengths.
Quiet Nothing stands out yet.
+ marks a strength, ! a caution, and · plain context. The most important lines come first.
Graduation speed
Under a minute usually means the creator's own wallets bought the whole curve at launch. Coins that took ten minutes or more have held up better.
After graduating
Whether the coin is still worth more than when it graduated, and how the last day's graduates have done overall.
The creator
A big buy at launch (5 SOL or more) is a bag that can be sold into buyers. Many coins from one wallet in a day is a launch farm.
Copycats
Whether many creators launched the same ticker around the same time, whether any of the copies are filling, and whether this one came first.
Rising words
Whether the name uses a word that's suddenly in far more coin names than usual. That's how new narratives start.
The curve
Filling steadily is good. Half full within a couple of minutes usually means bundled buying. Filled and then slid back means sellers are stepping in.
The narrative
Whether the coin's theme graduates more or less often than average, and whether that theme's graduates have held their value.
The narratives board
Every launch sorted into themes like cats, AI or politics, with the numbers that show which themes are actually getting coins to the DEX.
Coins launched in the theme in the chosen window, and its share of all launches.
Bars for the last 24 hours, oldest on the left. The brightest bars are the latest hours.
Launches this hour against the usual hour. 2× means twice the normal rate. It says "building" until there are two hours of history.
Coins past 50% of their curve that haven't graduated yet.
Coins that filled their curve and moved to the DEX in the window. This is the number that matters most.
The share of the last day's launches that graduated. Under 20 launches it shows "1 of 7" instead, because a percentage would mislead.
The theme's biggest coin by peak market cap, with its pump.fun link and a copy button.
Switch between the last hour, 6 hours and 24 hours, and sort by graduations, momentum, hit rate or launches.
Use it to find themes where coins really graduate: a hit rate above the average (1.1% right now) is a theme with buyers. A theme with lots of launches and a low hit rate is flooded.
Click a theme's name to open its page: an hourly chart, the words used most in its coin names, its graduates and the coins closest to graduating.
Rising words
Words that many different creators suddenly started putting in coin names this hour, compared with their usual rate. New narratives show up here before anyone names them.
- × usual is how far above its normal rate the word is. "New this hour" means there isn't enough history yet to compare.
- Creators counts different wallets, so one person spamming launches can't fake a trend.
- The bar underneath shows how full the best coin with that word has got.
Use it to catch a story early. In the last 2.3 hours, 68% of graduates fit none of the themes on the board. Many of the coins that run are news and one-off memes that only show up here and in copycat waves.
Copycat waves
One ticker launched by four or more different creators within an hour. It usually means something with that name just went viral.
- Real demand: some copies past 80% filled, or graduated.
- Spam: ten copies and none past 30%. Lots of creators, no buyers.
- The first one is often the copy people follow. The read on each coin tells you whether it came first.
Coin lists
Just graduated, Closest to graduating and Live launches on the home page, and the same lists on every theme page.
- The name opens the coin on pump.fun.
- The copy button copies the contract address, ready to paste into a wallet, a bot or Coin X-Ray.
- The bar is how full the bonding curve is. Gold means graduated, with how long it took.
- chart opens the DEX chart (graduated coins only). x-ray scans the coin for bundles, snipers and the dev's past launches.
- Tags are the coin's themes. Click one to open that theme's page.
Share it. Every page has a share image that updates itself. Paste a link to the home page or a theme page on 𝕏 and this card appears:
What the data says
Live from the radar over the last 2.3 hours. These numbers update every minute, and they're the reason the read flags what it flags.
launches graduate to the DEX.
graduates are still worth more than when they graduated. Graduation is usually the top.
of graduations happened in under a minute, mostly creators buying their own curve.
held their value: coins that took 10+ minutes to graduate, against the faster ones.
of graduates fit none of the themes. Watch rising words and copycat waves.
Graduating most often: Money & markets, with 3 of 92 launches graduating (3.3%).
Most flooded: Dogs, with 268 launches and 1 graduated.
A six-step playbook
A simple routine for using the radar before you buy anything.
- Check the temperature. Look at the market meter first. In a cold market even good setups struggle to fill their curve.
- Find the story. Start with Rising words and Copycat waves, not the board. That's where new narratives appear first.
- Check for buyers. In a wave, look for copies past 80% filled or graduated. Many copies stuck under 30% means nobody is buying.
- Get the read. Point at the coin on the radar and count the red flags: an instant graduation, a creator with a dozen launches today, a big dev buy, a curve that filled and slid back.
- Check its theme. On the board, is the theme's hit rate above average, and have its graduates held up? A flooded theme means the coin is competing with hundreds of others.
- X-ray it, and plan the exit. Run the contract address through Coin X-Ray for bundles, sniper wallets, top holders and the dev's past coins. Decide when you'll sell before you buy: only 4 of the last 48 graduates held their value.
Green flags and red flags
What the read looks for, all in one place.
Green flags
- Took ten minutes or more to graduate.
- Still worth more than when it graduated.
- Part of a copycat wave where copies are filling, and this one came first.
- Its name uses a rising word.
- Its theme graduates more often than average.
- The curve is filling steadily, not all at once.
Red flags
- Graduated in under a minute.
- Down more than 90% since graduating.
- The creator launched many coins today, or bought 5+ SOL at launch.
- Half the curve filled within a couple of minutes of launch.
- Filled, then slid back.
- Many copies of the ticker and none of them filling.
- A flooded theme, or one whose graduates haven't held up.
Glossary
- Bonding curve
- How every pump.fun coin starts: the price rises as people buy, until about 85 SOL has gone in.
- Graduation
- When the curve fills, the coin moves to a DEX pool (PumpSwap) and trades like any other token.
- Contract address (CA)
- The coin's unique address on Solana. Copy it to find the exact coin, not a copy with the same name.
- Dev buy
- How much the creator bought in the launch transaction.
- Bundle
- Several wallets, usually controlled by the creator, buying in the same moment as the launch.
- Copycat
- A new coin using the same ticker as another, launched by a different creator.
- Narrative / meta
- The theme traders are piling into right now, like AI agents or cat coins.
- Hit rate
- The share of a theme's launches that graduated.
- Momentum
- A theme's launches this hour against its usual hourly rate.
- Runner
- A coin past 50% of its curve that hasn't graduated yet.
The radar describes what has happened, not what will. It sorts coins by the words in their names, so it misses some, and its history starts when it started listening. Nothing here is financial advice. For where the data comes from, see How it works.
